Nantucket Bike Tours

A few weeks ago two of my friends and I went to Nantucket for the weekend. It was our first time so we thought we would do a bike tour to see the sites and learn some history. It was the best thing we did while on the island by far! Jason and Courtney were excellent tour guides and we learned a lot about Nantucket! I recommend doing the Bike to the Brewery tour. Ending with an ice cold beer was perfect :)

For my 30th birthday I went with a group of 8 friends to Nantucket and thought that this would be a fun day for everyone and it did not disappoint. We took the “Bike to the Brewery” tour and it was one of the highlights of the trip. All my friends had different fit levels but everyone thoroughly enjoyed this bike tour. I rented bikes years ago in Nantucket but the tour gives you a complete different experience. Since this tour I am now inspired to start biking!

We visited Nantucket for the first time May 18-20 as a weekend getaway and can honestly say that the bike tour was the highlight of our stay! 

Generally speaking, we tend to opt for activities while traveling that keep us away from crowds - be it booking a week stay at a small, private island in the Caribbean where you don't see another soul the entire time, or seeking vacation destinations based on when their offseason is. Suffice to say, we typically avoid tours for this same reason...

The 6 of us had a great time winding through the streets of Nantucket, learning interesting tidbits and seeing homes of the rich and famous. The tours vary every time to keep it fresh and interesting, so we will definitely be doing another one the next time we are on the island. Ending up at the Cisco brewery at the end of the tour was a real treat - we highly recommend trying the Triple 8 blueberry vodka concoction, per Courtney's suggestion. 

Both Jason and Courtney are fun, energetic and friendly and make you feel right at home. They want you to enjoy the island as much as they do, and especially by bike. All of their bikes have names and they can even accomodate really tall riders :)

From soup to nuts, we feel as though we not only got a taste for Nantucket, but walked away with new friends. I highly recommend Nantucket by Bike!
